Your privacy matters to us. We've designed Sparkle Select and our Website to collect as little information about you as possible, and to be transparent about what we do collect.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, even if you reach them through our Services. Those third parties have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your information.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Through the Sparkle Select App

Sparkle Select is designed to run entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend server, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect personal information about you directly.

What stays on your device (and is never transmitted to us):

Your saved color palettes
Your app settings (Beginner Mode, Accessibility Mode, Sparkle Reminders)
Your notification preferences
Which team color packs you have unlocked

All of this information is stored locally on your device using standard system storage (AsyncStorage). Uninstalling the app deletes this data from your device.

What is handled by third parties (not by us):

When you make an in-app purchase, Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android) processes the payment. We never see your credit card information, name, or address.
RevenueCat is a third-party service we use to remember which team packs you have purchased, so your purchases are restored if you reinstall the app. RevenueCat receives a device identifier and receipt information from Apple or Google. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment information.
Apple and Google may collect standard analytics about the app (crashes, active installs, downloads) for their own purposes as part of their app store services. We receive aggregated, non-personal reports from them.
Local notifications (reminders you enable in Settings) are scheduled on your device by iOS or Android. We do not operate a push-notification server. No notification content leaves your device.

4.2 Through Our Website and Shops

What we collect when you visit thebabysbooty.com, thebabysbooty.store, or hotfixfix.store:

Information you provide directly: if you place an order on thebabysbooty.store or hotfixfix.store, you give us your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number. We need this to ship your order to you.
Payment information: payments on thebabysbooty.store and hotfixfix.store are processed by our e-commerce provider Ecwid and its integrated payment processors (for example, Stripe or PayPal). We do not store your full credit card number on our own servers. Your payment information is handled by the payment processor you choose at checkout, subject to their own privacy practices.
Standard technical information: when you visit any of our Websites, our hosting provider and Ecwid may automatically log standard information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and time of visit. This is used to operate the sites, prevent fraud, and understand how the sites are used.
Cookies: our Websites use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (keeping items in your shopping cart), security, and basic analytics. See Section 10 for details.

Your browsing history outside our Services
Your health, biometric, or financial information (beyond what is needed to fulfill an order)

We do not use the Sparkle Select app to show you advertisements, and we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising purposes.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use information only for the following purposes:

To operate the Services — to let you use the app, place orders, receive shipments, and get customer support.
To process orders and payments — to take your orders on thebabysbooty.store and hotfixfix.store, arrange shipping, and respond to questions about your order.
To communicate with you — to respond to your emails, send order confirmations, notify you of shipment, and handle returns.
To keep the Services secure — to detect fraud, prevent abuse, and protect the integrity of our systems.
To comply with legal obligations — for example, to keep sales records for tax purposes.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

6.1 Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to run our Services. These providers only receive the minimum information they need to perform their function for us:

Ecwid — hosts our online shops and processes orders at thebabysbooty.store and hotfixfix.store.
Payment processors — (such as Stripe and PayPal, selected at checkout by you) to process payments.
Shipping carriers — (such as USPS or UPS) to deliver orders to you.
RevenueCat — to track which in-app purchases you have made (in the Sparkle Select app) so purchases can be restored on reinstall.
Apple and Google — to process in-app purchases and distribute the Sparkle Select app to you.
Expo — our app development platform, which handles builds and over-the-air updates. Expo does not receive your personal information from the app.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their handling of your information.

6.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so (for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request) or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

6.3 Business Transfers

If The Baby's Booty is sold, merges with another company, or transfers substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change in ownership and of any material change in how your information is handled.

6.4 We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sparkle Select is a craft-hobby app intended for adult hobbyists and craft-business owners.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at eve@thebabysbooty.com and we will promptly delete that information.

For users between the ages of 13 and 18, we recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy together with a parent or guardian before using our Services.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

Payment information on thebabysbooty.store and hotfixfix.store is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
Sparkle Select app data is stored on your device using the operating system's standard secure storage.
We restrict access to personal information to people who need it to do their jobs.
We use third-party service providers who meet industry-standard security practices.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to use commercially reasonable protections for your information. If we ever become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Strictly necessary functions, such as keeping items in your shopping cart and remembering you are logged in to your customer account during a shop session.

The Sparkle Select mobile app does not use cookies.

11. Data Retention

Order information — we retain order records (name, shipping address, order contents) for as long as needed to fulfill the order and for a minimum of 7 years afterward for tax and accounting purposes.
Email correspondence — we retain emails you send us for as long as needed to respond and follow up, typically up to 3 years.
Sparkle Select app data — this is stored on your device, not by us. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Purchase records via RevenueCat — retained as long as your App Store / Play Store receipt remains active (so we can restore your purchases).

12. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you use our Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on applicable safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers, where available.

Our Services may occasionally contain links to websites or services operated by parties other than us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services. Before providing personal information on a third-party site, please review that site's privacy policy.
